Demo Reel

After fighting it for years, I buckled down and made a demo reel of the various productions I have been a part of over the years. I am extremely grateful for the opportunities given to me and to be able to work alongside very talented people on these projects.

P.S. I am always looking for work.

Star Wars

My girlfriend's child is near perfect. Charlotte loves ice cream, dance parties, and Star Wars. For her third birthday, she wanted a Yoda Party, she got the best Yoda party we could throw her.

Like most kids, she loves to watch Star Wars. Mostly Empire, because it has Yoda in it. The problem with watching the trilogy is that my girlfriend spends most of her time fast forwarding through "scary" or I don't like him(the Emperor) parts. This soon became tedious because her child wants to watch Yoda and Darth Vader everyday.

So, I have taken upon myself to come up with an edit of New Hope, Empire, and Jedi safe enough for Charlotte to watch, so both her and my girlfriend can enjoy the films together.

With all the talk about Star Wars these days, I wanted to share Charlotte's Cut with you:

Technical Notes and Edit Choices:

  • The edits are from the Despecialized Edition that Harmy painstakingly restored for our viewing pleasure
  • No one shoots first
  • The Emperor does not exist
  • Darth Vader doesn't die, actually no one dies.

As Charlotte grows older, these films will be updated until she is okay with watching Emperor get his justly end.

Howlies, the lost tapes

Circa 2008 - 2009 a group of friends got together in an undeveloped suburb (I have no idea where) in East Atlanta with a Mini DV Cam to shoot a music video for Aluminum Baseball Bat. Well, the record label Over Under Records signed Howlies, and they wanted an updated version of the Aluminum Baseball Bat video.

Not a problem, we cranked out another fantastic video, but in this process, the old version was deleted.

Yesterday, I happened to stumbled upon the raw footage for the original:

The old recording of the track have been misplaced, but I love hearing us talk during the shoot.

Here is the "newer" version:

ENJOY.

Big Boi - Live in 3D

I am bummed that I wasn't able to get Outkast tickets for the Atlanta show, but nothing beats being on stage with Big Boi.  While working at CMF, I helped shoot a 3D promo video for Chegg, Panasonic, and one half of Outkast.  Be warned, you must have 3D glasses to fully appreciate this.  A very big thanks to rest of the IUP crew that made this happen!
